nice job, now I'm soooo lost with all of them, just installed them but brush # don't match with the pdf # or maybe I'm missing something.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for getting back to me with regards to the brushes not matching the PDF....eek! I hope not.!o.O

So I checked.....:)

I have have just been through all the brushes for the new labelling structure in the set (As PDF sheets) and they do match up. Which is logical as I created the sheets from the brush packs.. The only Zip file you really need is   TB DOTS Set 1 P 01 - 12.zip . (TB DOTS Sample120.pdf)..

The other brush  sets are a remnant of the previous post/s. (maybe I should remove them!). I had to rename the brushes so I could expand the overall Brush Library.

I worked to A4 sheets which allowed for 3 packs (x10) per page in the layout. Hence 120 Brushes per set. The older brush version were created in sequence and unfortunately were becoming mixed with other types/format of brush.. So I streamlined the development to allow for expansion of different sets without any conflict.

I treat the brushes as a Library (resource)..as originally intended, creating a new category when working on a project 'like Big-T' or 'TIn Man' and acquiring the brushes I need from the original sets.

Hope this helps

well.... I renamed them, so instead of being pack1, pack2, pack3... until 12, I named them as on your pdf file, so the first 5,6,7,30,31 to 39 so they are easier to find than having to bring the pointer over for the name to show up.

the other pack are easy because they start with paintB instead of TB DOTS

like this screenshot.

and yes these 3D minion glass are terrific for protrait =)

Hi Guys, I know this is a old topic. I've been using Affinity for a couple years for my work. I Illustrate racecars and design a background behind them to be printed on T-shirts. I was looking for a dot Brush set to apply to the vector outline of my cars because I've seen a few other artist do it that use Illustrator and it has a nice look. My question is why can I only see these brushes in pixel persona? BTW I have no idea how to do anything in pixel persona. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply!

That indicates they are raster brushes, designed for Photo or the Pixel Persona in Designer.

Hi has @walt.farrell has pointed out these are older raster brushes.  I have not really maintained these as they were sort of replaced with PB 28: Ink Stipple
In response to the question; Even if they were 'vector' brushes the results would still be raster as the vector brushes are not 'true'.

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve but for these type of brushes can I suggest you use download and use PB 31 'base Texture Toolkit' This set works much better and has much greater flexibility. If you are looking for dot vectors you could also try 'Seamless Pattern Overlays'. These are assets (mostly different configuration of dots!) built for the new drag | drop option where you can add assets as bitmaps to the fill. However they are actually vector. So you can pull them onto the page and edit. The Dot patterns are contained within a rectangle so they should; I say should! snap together to form dot patterns. You can also use the 'Quick Grid feature' to layout shape patterns.

Sometimes I paint dot patterns using a raster brush and copy the .jpg | SVG to Inkscape to make use of the tracing tool. If you do this avoid using the simplify (Control + L) applied to the result as it can convert all the curve nodes to cusp nodes!. I created some overlay vectors this way for the Comic Book Toolkit but it's not finished yet!

In the same way! There is an old set to supplement the old inkBrush brushes here or here That has a small collection of vector grunge that you can manipulate on the page.

Hope this helps!
