tomasnosek
It should be done for sure, as a high priority feature. Look at Blender, it´s a good piece of software but community made Blender a masterpiece thanks awesome plugins. Friksel
saivan
I agree with this too, scripting is basically a staple of any professional application. I've found myself in a pickle a few times because of this!

SublimeText uses Python for plugins. -1 for AppleScript becauses it's platform dependent and as such is a bad idea. Friksel
Friksel
I agree. Applescript would be a very bad choice. Either Javascript (wich is really becoming bigger and bigger, because there are so many developers working on it everyday and the language is becoming better really fast now) or Python (less people are using it, but clean language and being used in other graphics software like Blender), although I prefer Javascript nblackburn

However, AppleScript supports Javascript, Python, & shell scripts, so as an additional option for Macs it would not be a bad idea, & probably easy to include. 000 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.

I don't know enough about Windows to say if there would be an AppleScript equivalent or what it would be. I only suggested additional support for AppleScript for Macs because I suspect (but am far from sure) that if Python, Javascript, or similar support was added to the Affinity apps in the future, it would be easy to support AppleScript as well. That's because AppleScript on Macs (actually inter-application communication, more or less) is extensible & the basic frameworks for Python & Javascript are already there.
