voom
I can't seem to be able to cut the content of a selection from a pixellayer (in this case a layer within an artboard). This applies to AD as well as AP on Win 10. I tried "del" key as well as Ctrl-C I have no idea what the issue could be. The impression is, that the key is always applied to the layer-panel instead of the selection.
Staff MEB Posted April 12, 2017 Staff Share Posted April 12, 2017 Hi voom, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Are you sure you are working with a pixel layer type? Check the label between parenthesis after the layer's name in the Layers panel. Is it identified as an (Image) layer or (Pixel) layer? If it's an (Image) layer type right-click on it in the Layers panel and select Rasterise... to convert it to a (Pixel) layer. If it's already a (Pixel) layer can you please attach the file so we can take a look? Only Pixel layer types can be manipulated at a pixel level. dmstraker
In Win10 AP, Ctrl-C worked for me (I was able to paste it into a powerpoint, for example). Ctrl-X also cuts (removes). Ctrl-V pastes as new layer. A trap I fell into a number of times was that I was on an adjustment layer. You have to have the pixel layer selected. When something like this which should work doesn't I will also if necessary go back and reboot the PC.
