catlover
Hello, I'm having difficulty getting the Transparency tool to work (the "wineglass icon"). Method used : Select object ( =on it's own pixel layer) Select Transparency tool to make object gradually transparent from top to bottom, as opposed to Opacity No handles appear, nothing happens. Also nothing happens when I do it the other wat around, e.g.: Select Transparency tool >Select object. What am I doing wrong ? Thanks in advance for your reply ! Staff MEB Posted December 28, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 28, 2014 You're not doing anything wrong. After you select the object and go to Transparency Tool, just drag the mouse on the canvas to apply it to the object. The handles will be available for further adjustments. Jakerlund
Try saving your document and restart AD. I had a few issues like that yesterday with the pixel brush which got stuck in hand move tool. Restarted AD, reloaded the document and problem solved. catlover
To Jakerlund : I did that already, didn't help though. To MEB : Thanks also, yes, I did that too, unfortunately , still no-go. I'm attaching the file. It's the tree I want partly transparent, from top>bottom
Staff MEB Posted December 28, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 28, 2014 Your tree is composed by multiple objects. To apply transparency to it group the layers that contain the three and the butterflies. Then apply the transparency to that group.
