JDW
To round individual corners one need only untick "Single radius" in the info bar at the top of the window. But how do we select 2 or 3 corners and round them at the same time (to be the same radius)? This can be easily done in Illustrator. Thank you. carl123
Use the Corner Tool and shift click each corner you want to adjust then adjust them Kal 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. JDW
Thank you for the tip. There is one caveat, however. Your tip does not work on objects which already have rounded corners (and I don't mean "baked" corners either). Try it. Sketch a rectangle. Choose the "Corner" popup in the info bar atop your window and choose Rounded. Then choose the Corner tool and try your tip -- you can't. This caveat matters little when you are designing your own rects. But if you receive an AD document from someone else with objects that already have rounded corners, you cannot round multiple corners via your tip. In Illustrator though, this is no problem at all (unless corners are baked). Kal
carl123
If the rectangle already has rounded corners, you can just change all or individual corners back to "None" in the same "Corner" popup Then readjust the corners how you want them Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. JDW
Yes, I know. But that extra work doesn't make me all fuzzy inside. It's faster in Illustrator when you have dozens of objects to modify because there is no "reset to square corners" step. Anyway, thank you! anon1
markothell
When I try to change the radii for a large selection of corners the app crashes. Two corners work but many more and goodbye. Example:

Serif has zero interest in making improvements that pertain to what this thread is about. As such, I shutter to think at just how long you may need to wait for a bug fix! Please try to email Serif directly, and then report back here to let us know if they actually respond. Thanks. Jowday
GarryP
This is working okay for me with the Corner Tool in Designer 1.8.3.641 on Windows 10, see attached video. It’s a bit slow but it doesn’t crash. 2020-04-27 13-55-02.mp4
markothell
GarryP Thanks. Tried again. Looks like when I select all corners instead of just those on the outer diameter the change succeeds. Only certain subsets cause a crash. JDW Yeah, I guess I wouldn't expect them to jump on every little bug. I'll check out the bug forum. GarryP
I’ve tried various combinations of subsets of nodes – including those only on the outer diameter – and can’t replicate the problem. If you, or someone else, can supply a document containing a specific example that causes a crash then it can be investigated further. Kal
How strange that we have two different tools to accomplish the exact same thing (rounded corners), and they're completely incompatible with each other. JDW
