Staff MEB Posted April 8, 2017 Staff Share Posted April 8, 2017 Hi MTfrog, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) The "Background" (Layer panel) is already a layer (simply called Background when you open an image). There's no need to convert it. You can edit it as any other layer (make sure it's not locked clicking on the padlock icon on the right of the layer in the Layers panel if needed).
