Designer artboard problem exporting PDF for commercial print - bleed -

Recommended Posts

Seem to have a bug with a document setup as Artboards not correctly generating PDF/X-4 for commercial print (tried other PDF standards also with same result)  the bleed (3mm) is either not generated or it just does a bit of an half arsed job (see attached) I'm hoping this will all be fixed once we have the ability to actually see the bleed and bleed guides in a future update - I tried recreating the document and various other things and discovered the only way I can get usable PDF output is to default back to single page (non artboard ) documents which outputs great (see attached)

Also are there any plans for vector gradient output (pdf, eps) as I find it a bit irritating when I supply a finished logo to a client with everything vector apart from gradients so in some cases I've had to re-create in illustrator or inDesign just for total vector output

Looking forward to 1.6 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Forgot to mention I'm on Designer 1.5.5 and Photo 1.5.2 if this helps to nail the bugs

Managed to replicate the earlier Artboard to PDF problem - which fails to produce bleed for the front of the artwork and fails to produce the image on the back - solution = copy and paste the contents of each artboard into single page designer A6 document = outputs as expected ----- any ideas?
