wim
Dear reader, I've got the following problem; I want to remove the green Tombstone, but it does not work. Is ther an example of how to do this? The text that is to be left on the tombstone of course, clearly visible. Thanks you in advance for any explanation. Sorry for bad english. carl123
One quick way is to... Duplicate the layer (optional)Use the Selection Brush tool to select just the TombstoneAdd a Black & White adjustmentPush the green channel all the way up to 300% tombstone.afphoto Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. R C-R
I tried something different that produced a slightly different (& probably not as useful) result. I created a grayscale layer from the green channel & in it I erased everything outside the tombstone. No doubt the reason is obvious to many others. Thanks for providing the example file with your explanation too!
carl123
Duplicating the original image layer is just something a lot of users do before starting any work on an image. It serves as a backup if something goes wrong which is not immediately noticed and thus not easily fixed later on in the editing, especially so if you overwrite the original image. It can also serve as a quick reference of the original image so you can easily see a before and after comparison of the work you have done on the image Like I said, it is optional but good workflow in my opinion. R C-R
There are several reasons for making duplicate layers. One is so there is a backup in case some destructive process like painting on the layer, applying a non-live filter, or such produces something undesirable. Another is so you can quickly compare the original unmodified layer to the modified version by placing one version over the other & toggling on & off visibility of the upper one. What Carl said.
