Designer Inpaint Fill not working

hi there,

 

first of all, i love your products! so thank you for offering an amazing alternative! 

 

my question is about inpaint fill. i saw this video 

and decided to try it since it looked incredibly easy. however, in my case, it doesn't work.  :-( 

 

 

 

so what am i doing wrong?

I am on Windows not a Mac but for it to work for me I have to right click the layer and select Rasterise immediately after I resize the canvas, then continue with the steps shown

 

You can try that

 

If that does not work then it may be specific to the Mac version of the software that I cant test here

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

I see the same thing on my Mac, using the latest 1.5.2 version. If instead I use the Move tool to move the image down & then use Document > Unclip Canvas, the extra rasterize step is not necessary.

All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V23.0 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7
