export with same filename

Recommended Posts

When exporting to .jpg, if there is a file with the same name, Affinity Photo just says 'invalid filename' (which is initially baffling as the name given was a valid Windows filename). It should say 'File already exists, would you like to overwrite.'

Hey dmstraker,

I can't reproduce this. When you go to export the .jpg, how are you adding the file name? Are you typing it in or selecting the existing file to create the duplicate file name?

Hmm. Now I can't reproduce it either. Sorry. I'll keep an eye out and post screen clip if it happens again.

(ps. good news: just converted my daughter's graphic designer boyfriend to Affinity. He's going to buy both Photo and Designer.)
