kufloyd
I'm encountering an odd behavior with this design. I created the lotus' first 3 petals (starting from left), applied a gradient to the left-most petal, duplicated the first two petals on the other side, added a stem on the left side (layer4, side1), applied the transparency tool to side1, duplicated side1 and moved it to the other side. The problem is that side1 is not see-through under the left-most petal (which is what I want) whereas side2 can be visible from under the right-most petal. All opacity is 100%. Any idea? thanks. lotus.afdesign
Staff Lee D Posted March 10, 2017 Staff Share Posted March 10, 2017 Hi kufloyd, If you select Layer1 and then the Transparency Tool and set it to None, the design will then be the same on both sides. If you are wanting to see the stems in the bottom left and right petals, lower the opacity of just those two shapes to around 90%. Or edit the gradient on each of them so that the white has a slight opacity.
Aammppaa
The entire of Layer1 has a linear transparency applied (from left to right) so the final petal is translucent. kufloyd
thanks for your replies...I had forgotten about that transparency that I had applied.
