Dear all,

I am very happy to see AFFINITY so much advanced since my last trial.

As we all know, right now there's no good RAW-converter for the FUJIFILM GFX 50S RAF files. Affinity 1.5.2 is opening the files and one can do adjustments - Unfortunately the image is shifted to the left side by some 400 px or so.

How fast can this be fixed? Knowing this will be vital to many of us deciding to buy the software.

Best Regards,

    Peter

Hi Peter,

Welcome to the forums.

I can't provide any specific dates but this may get resolved when we next update our RAW engine, may be in our 1.6 update. If you're using a Mac, Apple may update their Apple Core engine to support these type of RAW files before us, if so Affinity Photo can be switched to that engine within the Develop Assistant.

Thanks for your fast feedback. This gives some hope ! Most of us use Capture One Pro 10. But I do love new options and I really like the clean and straight forward GUI of Affinity. Let's see how long it might take before we see V 1.6 ? (weeks ? month?) ....

Thanks again,

Related to Capture One it doesn't sound so ...

Capture One does not provide support for MF cameras from other brands, and that is how it should remain. Neither the Fujifilm GFX 50s nor the X1D from Hasselblad should be used by the image processing software of the Danish manufacturer Phase One.

The Danish mid-format player, Phase One, does not intend to open its capture software Capture One for other medium format systems such as Fujifilm's GFX 50s. On demand, Phase One explains that traditionally no direct competitors are supported with their own image processing software . This position has made the Capture One team in the past even with regard to the Hasselblad X1D. Previously, Capture One users complained that they could no longer take pictures from the Ricoh Pentax in their Danish image processing software. With Capture Fix at that time, a detour, for Pentax MF photographers, could continue to work with Capture One.
