Isometric Illustration, work in progress...

Interesting work and thanks for the vid. I like isometric as well and often apply it to mfg plants for which I'm selling industrial central vacuum systems. It is helpful when the customer has a plant floor plan that I can use, otherwise I'm walking a lot of sq ft while drawing sketches. I use iso so I can show duct runs both horiz and vertical. However, iso is not perspective so for more fun dwgs I often try and turn the iso into a perspective. Challenging.

 

Your comments on adding initial "place-holder" colors are right on. Once you start getting a few lines on the image it gets very confusing and putting some color on those walls makes your brain see it better. Right?!
