Gary Hunt
Been trying to following Affinities Layer Mask video on Vimeo. You show a background layer of a sky as well as a building. On the Layers panel I see both of these photos along with child layers so they are showing there. When I open two photos to attempt to following the tutorial only ONE of the photos will show at a time in the Layers panel. I can open both of my photos but I cannot get them both to ?appear at the same time. Is there a setting I need to set or could something have been changed inadvertently
R C-R
It sounds like you are opening two photos, each in its own document window. If you check the comments for the video, you will see that Keith McM2 asked, "How did you actually bring in the second layer (the sky)???" The Affinity reply was: Hey Keith, I just opened a separate sky image then copy/pasted it in, which is kind of an awkward, old-school way of doing it! You can take a more intuitive approach and use File>Place, then navigate to your sky image. You can then click-drag to set the initial size, or just single click to add the image in at its full size. christovw66 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
