sethif
I've tried looking around to no avail. Is there a way to align or distribute objects to the art board rather than to each other? Thanks!
Staff MEB Posted December 13, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 13, 2014 Yes, select the object(s) you want to align, click on the Arranje icon on the top toolbar, click on the alignment button you want (Align Left, Align Center etc) - this will make the Align to drop down options available - and select Spread from that drop down. sethif
Thanks! I had customized my toolbar and did not seem to have the drop down option.
ptewari
Shouldn't this "Align to" feature be available by default? And what is the meaning of Margin and Spread?

Staff MEB Posted January 27, 2015 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2015 Hello ptewari Welcome to Affinity Forums. It is available by default. It wasn't appearing for @sethif because he customized the interface and eventually removed it by mistake. Align to Spread means the objects will be aligned in relation to the whole page (the white background); Align to Margin will align the objects in relation to the margins defined in the Document Setup dialog. The margins define the area of the page that will not be printed. They can be defined manually in the Document Setup or use the settings of your desktop printer. brezanac 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
