[Duplicate] Create re-usable symbols

Recommended Posts

Hello,

There is a neat feature inside Sketch that allows you to convert a layer group into a "Symbol", which can then be repeated as many times as you wish on the document. For example, you could create a "button" symbol, and if you edit the symbol it automatically applies those changes on it's duplicate copies.

This is potentially similar to the photoshop "smart objects", however I do prefer the Sketch approach because I can edit the symbol without having to switch tabs or save, this allows me to see the changes on all duplicates immediately.

I had a look around on the forums but couldn't find any similar request, so +1 for this.

Thanks

Cal
