Corel has a pretty neat feature in it's color picker that I would personally like to see in Affinity.... I'm definitely not speaking for anyone else with this request, but here goes...

On the corel color picker, if you left click a color it ALWAYS sets the fill color. If you right click the color, it ALWAYS sets the outline color. I find this to be a time saver versus having to click back and fourth between the fill/outline on the pallet and/or toolbar.

To any illustrator user, this will sound foreign... but the benefit is being able to click a color on the picker or swatch, and knowing exactly how it will apply by which click you use, without having to know if fill or outline is selected (which i personally always lose track of). Ive been doing it this way for years and it just feels intuitive and expected.

Since the right click function currently does nothing in the affinity color pallet, this could probably be added easily... but given the abnormality of this function compared to just about every other app on the market, most users would probably prefer this as a non-default option for behavior.

Interested if anyone other than me would find this useful.

I may be wrong but i think Corel pick that from a software originally developed by Xara LTD. They acquired the rights to promote and sell it as CorelXara and integrated some of its features in CorelDraw itself. The right-click to define the color of the outline comes from there. That program still exists today although with another name. And yes it's much quick and practical define the outline color with just a right click. I'm used to it too and i think it's a great suggestion.

I actually used to work for Xara back at the time when they released Xara X, and the left/right click thing was something that I absolutely loved - once you knew it, it saved so much time! I think there's definitely some mileage here, but I think there may also be some inconsistencies introduced by it - I'll have a chat with everyone else when they get in the office :)

Oh, and super-bonus points to Miguel for his knowledge of Corel acquiring Xara in order to integrate/steal some of their better features!
