Vector work (Affinity Designer)

Recommended Posts

Since the beginning of 2015, I have been working exclusively with Serif's program series. Here's an example of a vector work with Affinity Designer. I am looking forward to Serif's planned Publisher, who would make the package complete :-)

Enjoyed perusing your site very much, seeing how you have put AD to work. I would say you excel with women subjects - those are all beautiful and I could see the feeling and beauty in the homage to Audrey Hepburn. Love the brown eye/blue eye on the model portrait, by the way!

The shading/shadowing/fading and tech lines on the yellow Fiat bring great interest to that image. I am by no means an authority but I will admit to a hesitation on the bird. While overall well done, the white under the eye kept drawing my attention as it looked slapped on rather than inherent to the bird. The other features blend in so maybe a little feathering* at the bottom of the white? Or maybe that species of bird actually looks like that and I'm not only unfamiliar with that bird, but don't know anything about art too!

*Feathering: almost a pun there since we are talking about a bird, but I'm referring to AD feathering.  :D
