christovw66
AD folks, Any way for me to convert an imported .png file created using the Sketch app so that I can manipulate it in Affinity Designer? I created a new document in AD and imported the above mentioned image but cannot figure out how to work off of this image, making minor changes/effects, etc. Thanks in advance. -Christo
Staff Lee D Posted February 20, 2017 Staff Share Posted February 20, 2017 Hi Christo, The .PNG file you've opened or placed into a document will be flattened. What type of changes are you wanting to do?
Staff MEB Posted February 20, 2017 Staff Share Posted February 20, 2017 Hi christovw66 You have to export from Sketch as PDF, SVG or EPS to be able to keep the object editable as vector objects. PNG is a raster format (composed by pixels), so the only way to change it is using the Pixel Persona tools in Designer (or Affinity Photo) but it's a lot less flexible than if you export the file from Sketch in a vector format.
