kat
I downloaded the last Beta AD 1.0.20213. When I go to Mac App Store AD shows as installed but there is a newer version. I can't downloaded it. What to do please? Quote Affinity Suite v2, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.
Staff MEB Posted December 9, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 9, 2014 Uninstall the beta. Install the Mac App store version first, and then install the beta if you want (you can have both installed simultaneously). You must have the Mac App Store version installed to run the beta. Regarding the version numbers: There's two development trunks for Affinity. The Mac App Store version, and the betas. There's no direct relation between their numbers, that is, you can only compare the version number of a beta with another beta (the one with the biggest number is the most recent); same for the Mac App Store version. Currently the Mac App Store version is 1.1.2. The latest beta is 1.0.202013 Despite the lowest number, feature wise the beta is more complete than the version in the Mac App Store. It has new features that are being tested and fine tuned - like dash lines for example - that the MAS version doesn't contain yet. As soon as these new features are bug free and ready, the beta is then submitted to the Mac App Store for approval and becomes the new MAS version with a bigger number than the one currently in the Store. And the cycle repeats again. A more advanced beta (sometimes more than one release before being submitted to the Mac App Store again) is made available on the forums for testing and so on. 000 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
