Bumblebee Posted February 17, 2017 Share Posted February 17, 2017 Hi Guys So so looking forward to trying this and it just wont start up :( - have waited until this evening so that i can use it over two weekends and just so disappointed. Assume it's not an issue with Affinity - might be our old OS... Using Mac OS Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) and it just doesn't want to start up. simpatico Posted February 18, 2017 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I'm on a newer version of the OS however I too have had an issue with the download - it paused part way thru & I manually restarted to finish. Upon using the s/w for the first time only some of the icons on the left hand side of the screen worked & then they too stopped so I've uninstalled & am about to start again! I've tested the current builds on Lion (10.7.5) installed on an older mac we have and they install and open fine. Can you confirm that you downloaded the trials and double clicked to start the extraction which once finished then asks you to drag the icon to the Applications folder. Try holding down the CTRL key and opening the app, a new window will appear, select Clear and then see if this allows the app to open. charger Posted April 12, 2017 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Hi all. I have just downloaded the Photo 10 day trial for MAC. I'm running 10.7.5 with 16gig of ram and a 240ssd with an external monitor connected. I expanded the downloaded file and dragged the icon to the apps folder. The application will not start. Staff Lee D Posted April 12, 2017 Staff Share Posted April 12, 2017 Hi charger, Welcome to the forums. The trial of Affinity Photo currently has an issue opening on Lion and Mountain Lion.
