Ctrl+shift+N in AP

I think he was asking how to cut a part of another layer and paste it into a new one. Ctrl+shift+N will only create a new empty layer.

Evtonic3, to do this in Aphoto:

1. Make sure the layer you want to cut from is a "pixel" layer, not "image" or "curves" layer. If it's not a "pixel" layer, rasterize it. (right click on the layer and then "Rasterize..."

2. Using the marquee tools select the parts of the image you want to cut out on a new layer.

3. Press CTRL+J

Let me know if this worked. :)

I'm new to Affinity and don't find "New layer via cut", or "new layer via copy" (PS equivalent)
