Reusing filmstrips as photo borders

v_kyr

Recommended Posts

Here are some 35mm and 4x5 filmstrip templates which can be easily reused in AD/AP as photo borders, or for other sort of image presentations etc. - Each of these templates does contain always two (in past times) popular analog film brand looks, so you can switch between them through enabling/disabling layers, or modify/add your own additional ones. There is always also an indicated image place section, where you can mount your photos in.

Since photogs also tended to use Polaroids a lot in the past, here is an additional Polaroid AD/AP template:

thanks for the idea

maybe you can look into doing those with embedded comments and clipping to make them even easier to use

more Information here:

embedded documents how to:

clipping: (the second part, using a custom pen tool shape should work)

Here is a simple contact sheet template for AD/AF, which can be reused for presentation purposes and the like ...

I leaved the mounted example image inside, so you can see where (which layer) to exchange it with your own placed images:

Let's add a framed slide for 35mm film template ...

  • external dimensions 50x50 mm
  • inner window 23×35 mm

to the collection. This one is made in AD via vectors so you can scale it up/down as needed.

Here's another framed slide example, this time rotated to fit a portrait orientated image.

Hate to be a party pooper here however TMY is a _Black & White_ film  ;)

Yes that's correct, Kodak TMY 400 (aka T-MAX 400 film) is usually a B&W one from Kodak, though color images looked better for demonstration purposes here. - Of course you are free to mount only your outstanding B&W shots on it. ;)
