caliber
I have a stroke that I want to get thinner towards the end but the stroke settings seems too simple. This is my first project switching from illustrator so I'm wondering how can I manipulate this stroke or set custom brushes?
NilsFinken
Could you cheat and make the last, tapering, part separate, then join the two parts? I just tried: 1. Create the line, choose general stroke thickness. 2. Go to Node tool, choose or insert a node where the taper should start. 3. "Break curve" and apply Pressure to the stroke shown with nodes. 4. Join - or adjust - the two parts of the signature. Quote Lenovo laptop with Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 Home. deomacius
Additionally, you could switch to the Pixel persona and use the eraser tool to carve off the ends of that stroke. A mask will be created that hides the portions of the stroke that you erase.
Alfred
Don't you just need a brush with a reasonable amount of size variance and with 'Pressure' as the controller? The standard brush 'Solid Brush with Pressure' (in the Assorted category) seemed to work quite well once I constructed a suitable pressure profile. carl123 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
