PixelPest Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 If that´s a real question regarding Photos.app on MacOSX; there´s a checkbox in the upper left corner when you connect your device to your Mac (iBooks were abandoned in 2006!!!) saying "Open Photos for this device" which is checked by default. R C-R Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 You can also use the Image Capture app to determine which (if any) app opens when you connect your camera or SD card to your Mac. (The Image Capture app is in the Applications folder.) Connect the device to your Mac & if necessary launch Image Capture. It should show up in the DEVICES section on the left of the app window. Select it, click the "Show Hide button" in the lower-left corner of the window, click the “Connecting this device opens” pop-up menu & select "No application" (or any other app listed if you prefer one of them).
