kagelb
Is anyone else using Affinity 1.5.1 and using Squarespace? I am having problems just resizing images and exporting them as a jpg. Squarespace doesn't want to play nice all the time with my exported jpgs from Affinity. I get an error message from Squarespace saying it doesn't support Affinity files despite the fact that they are jpgs not AF files. Do I need to save as and flatten the image? I am stumped and I needed to work on my website yesterday!!
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, kagelb. :) I infer from your comment that Squarespace "doesn't want to play nice all the time" with your exported JPEGs that it sometimes plays nice and sometimes not. The JPEG format doesn't support layers, so your exports will be flattened automatically, but the fact that you're getting an error message about Affinity files not being supported suggests that you're trying to upload the wrong version of your images. What is your OS? Do you see filename extensions in Finder or File Explorer? Perhaps you could attach a sample of an image that Squarespace rejects: press the 'More Reply Options' button, browse to the file that you want to attach and then press 'Attach This File'. A_B_C
Hi kagelb, I have been working with Squarespace for quite a while now and never experienced any problems of the kind you describe. Could you please add a dummy image rejected by Squarespace, just as Alfred described, and I will happily try this image on one of my Squarespace installations. I am pretty sure we can sort this out. (I also have the slight suspicion that you accidentally tried to upload .afphoto or .afdesign files to the Squarespace image loader …) Cheers, Alex :)
kagelb
Hi. I attached 2 images. One that was supposed to be exported as a jpg but didn't even though I exported it as a jpg. The second I also exported as a jpg but I made sure the extension was a jpg. I added it to the name. artichokes and euco_sized.afphoto
