What is composite alpha in channels?

The Composite Alpha channel shows alpha for the entire composition. If it's White it means that your composition is opaque and has no transparency. If you had any transparent areas they would show in black. All channels including the Alpha can be used to create selections, masks, spare channels etc to further edit your images.
