Mo3bius
Hi, I am a beginner with affinity, but have some experience with photo editing. My question is what is your "standard" jpeg workflow? Here is what I came up with: Version 1: - open the photo. - try autolevel/auto-contrast/Auto-color/auto-white - Add some layers if needed Version 2: - open the photo. - Use Layers for Level/White/Exposure Version 3: - open the photo. - Go to developer persona - Adjust values and save it How do you prepare your photos? Do you use the auto options?
Mo3bius
Is this question too simple or just wrong or nobody working with jpegs? Would be great to get some input how to properly work with affinity photo.
Pixel and Poly
There is no one correct method for photo adjustments. Every case can be different and every user uses different tools. When you say jpeg workflow do you just mean photo workflow or are you trying to re-save these files a jpg files? There are some great videos on YouTube and Vimeo that cover all different workflows for photo editing. It might help to review some of these to find a workflow that is a good fit for you. larsh
Ja, that´s ok. My way, and I only use AP for photographies if Aperture gives not enough: first looking to the auto-functions and then try more by hand if necessary. lars Quote all Aff 2.2: Capture One+ 23 pro; MacBook Pro, OSX 10.15.7, Fuji X-Pro2
Fixx
Open JPG. Set black point, white point, gamma, contrast, colour balance using curves tool (AP curves is almost good, some details should be enhanced). Fix imperfections with clone or inpainting. Local lightness correction if needed. Sharpen (USM). Scale/export as needed. Save AP original.
