[Fixed] Placed SVG from Wikipedia is invisible

Recommended Posts

Importing (Placing) SVG from https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soubor:GHS-pictogram-exclam.svgto a document in Designer 1.5.0 results in invisible object.

Another similar SVGs with other GHS marks were imported fine to the very same document.

I managed to import this problematic SVG by converting it to EMF in open source Inkscape and using the EMF instead.

GHS-pictogram-exclam.svg

The problem may be that AD doesn't know what to to an SVG without an explicit winding rule in the file and so disregards the fill command.

In lieu of an explicit winding rule, perhaps AD should just assume a nonzero winding?

The contents are there. If you placed this SVG, double click on it and in the tab that opens you can select the items and fill with the requisite colors (the red, white, black). If you opened it, then the paths are present in the layers panel and you can again just fill them. No need for InkScape.
