Convert Adobe RGB 1998 to CMYK

Recommended Posts

... that seems to be more of a question in loosing colors not really quality.

adobe rgb can 'reproduce' far more colors in some areas then CYMK does, mostly first recognizeable within blue imho.

dont know your files, so its up to you to make a before/after version and see whats happening. theres no such thing as 'the best way' to do so - just try and compare visually.

16bit mode might help sometimes, but affinity isnt capable of that right now as is seems... so you have to try out and see what might get lost. :)

As mentioned, you should find out by the people doing the transfer to the tiles what cmyk profile they use, then use that profile to convert the rgb to.

If you do not also know what file format they prfer to use, also ask that.

... forget to mention: in this case it might also be a very good idea to do some proofing before final print. that makes results far more predictable! think the print company might do that for you too. and... dont know what machines or technique they use, but sometimes its worth being on location when the first prints are done if this is possible (mostly should if its nearby).
