Healing brush not cloning

Hello,

 

I am using healing bush to edit a part of the image that is lighten and replace this with black. I am expecting to clone the dark part on the light, but it does not work (see video attached). Can you help? Do I have a problem with my settings?

Use the clone tool instead? It's the third icon above the healing brush in you movie.

The clone tool is not working the same way: it is making multiple dots, but I cannot clone the area by simply painting over the area that I want to modify. From what I saw in various training video, the healing brush tool should be the one to use to achieve what I want to achieve. I would like to understand why it does not work in this situation.

Try setting your healing brush Hardness to 100% for better results

 

(it is current set to 34%)

 

But the clone tool is normally the best tool for this

I believe that there is something wrong with my config. I tried using the clone tool, but it did not work. It is making dots instead of painting the whole area:

I also tried the healing brush tool on another image, but this is not working either. It seems to have not the effect it should

Check the brush you are using to ensure it does not have "spacing" or anything else set that could affect it
