kayann
I noticed by searching the forums that in 2014 the ability to unembed a document was on the planning table. I am new and made a huge mistake of thinking the documents were linked like illustrator. Is there any way to unembed a document in designer? Staff MEB Posted January 26, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 26, 2017 Hi kayann, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Embedded documents are embedded inside the afdesign/afphoto file and are independent from the original file. We will add linked documents later in a future update. Currently there's no way to un-embeded them other than deleting the embedded layer. If you need the objects/elements inserted directly in the main document, double-click the embedded document on canvas - it will open in a new document tab - and copy/paste the objects/elements from the new document tab to the main document. matt.baker 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference

MikeDuf
Ok thanks! Can't wait for the update..! So the only way to break the link is to enter in the embedded file, select all, copy and paste it back in the document..? Quote Windows 10, Affinity Designer + Photo (Graphic Design, photo-editing).
