Define "align to" origin

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I'd like to know if you could add an option to compbine the "align to" origin with the transform origin that can be set in the transform panel.

Right now, when I have a 10px grid and a rectangle with a widht of 205 pixel, it will align the right side to the grid too, but that leads to the top left side not being aligned to the grid, what I wanted in this case. The right side should not align to the grid as long as I change it in the transform panel.

I faked that function to show it. Hope you know what I mean  ;)

Sorry - I don't follow...  which "align to" origin?

Are you referring to snapping?  Because that current has nothing to do with the control point selection in the Transform panel.

The only control we currently offer over snapping is the option to include box midpoints.  We always snap to outer edges of boxes as the concept of which is the left-right-top-bottom edge will depend very much on the initially transformation of the box. So, we don't distinguish between them as it would not always be intuitive.  We can, however, easy include/exclude the mid points.
