Removing gradient from text?

Recommended Posts

I did a whole bunch of text titles using the gradient 'tool'.  Nice gradients.  But I want to get rid of the gradient, change it to a single solid colour, without having to redo all the titles.

Is there a way to remove a gradient in a text box, leaving the text a single solid colour?

I'm thinking its really simple. Select the text, click the fill widget, and replace the gradient w. something like a swatch color of 100% black.

Alternatively, select the text with the Gradient Tool and change the fill type to 'Solid', or select the text with the Move Tool and click on a solid swatch in the Swatches panel.
