Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

This depends a lot on the type/format of files being provided. You shouldn't have problems with fonts, PSD, Ai, SVG files and most generic formats (PNG, JPG, TIFF).

There's however some limitations in a few formats: for example currently Affinity Designer/Photo doesn't support Photoshop Smart Objects, so any file that relies on them will not take advantage of the, (smart objects as rasterised when imported in Designer/Photo). Ai files must contain a PDF stream to be imported in Affinity Designer/Photo (and on other apps except Illustrator). You should have issues with SVG's unless they use effects/filters. If you tell us which files you are trying to work with we may be able to give you a more detailed reply.
