Staff MEB Posted January 23, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2017 Hi Evernote, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) This depends a lot on the type/format of files being provided. You shouldn't have problems with fonts, PSD, Ai, SVG files and most generic formats (PNG, JPG, TIFF). There's however some limitations in a few formats: for example currently Affinity Designer/Photo doesn't support Photoshop Smart Objects, so any file that relies on them will not take advantage of the, (smart objects as rasterised when imported in Designer/Photo). Ai files must contain a PDF stream to be imported in Affinity Designer/Photo (and on other apps except Illustrator). You should have issues with SVG's unless they use effects/filters. If you tell us which files you are trying to work with we may be able to give you a more detailed reply. Evernote
Hi, thx for the answears, its an -psd - file - how can i use them in Affinity Designer? Or is that not available / possible?
Staff MEB Posted January 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 24, 2017 Hi Evernote, Yes, it's possible. Go to menu File ▸ Open and select the PSD to open it. Note that not all PSD file format features are supported in Affinity Designer/Photo, like smart objects for example (which are rasterised on import).
