for Both Designer & Photo - patterns

Recommended Posts

is there any way to create and save patterns?  I believe also referred to as arrays,

I have found no way other than copy and duplicate, which is ridiculous way to try to work.

creating patterns and seamless patterns in either Designer or Photo. ?

thank you,

You can create bitmap patterns using an image, but you cannot save them. To add a pattern, use the Gradient Tool and choose the "Type" Bitmap. You then need to select an image from your computer and then you can tile it. Exporting your design as a bitmap first is recommended.

The website is still a work in progress. The "Comics" and "Shop" sections are not yet ready. Feel free to connect with me and let me know what you like or what can be improved. You can contact me here, on my contact page, YouTube channel, or Twitter account. Thanks and have a great day!

I stand corrected. I didn't even pick up on the swatch indicator. I would've just copied the swatch in the past rather than reuse the bitmap if I've known that.

One thing that is inconvenient about bitmap patterns is that stretching the shape the pattern is on will distort the tiles rather than to keep them in proportion.

Hi bleduc. I tried it the way you suggested, but it doesn't seem to work.

As a test I tried to fill a document with this image:

All I got was this kind of result:

Not exactly what I'd call a pattern
