Help layering a picture onto some text/logo

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, sorry if this is the wrong place to post, this is my first post!

Im looking to figure out how to turn the white text/logo into the Union Jack image I have so its no longer white but part of the image, apologies if I'm not making sense!

basically want the white text to cut out the Union Jack to becomes like Union Jack text instead?

any help would be awesome!

Thanks :)

Start here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10815-in-house-affinity-designer-video-tutorials/

The excellent short videos will help you to get a grips on the Programm in no time.

I myself started some time ago where You are now and know that this is the only way.

Without a willingness to learn at least the basics, you better stay away from Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo in first place - seems harsh but its the brutal truth

Mac print publishing X-Press & Adobe hostage, cooking on extrem high level, subscribing with joy to US Cooks Illustrated & Foreign Affairs, the british Spectator and the swiss Weltwoche - absolute incompatible publications

As far as I understood your question, you intend to fill the letters of the logo with the Union Jack texture. Given your logo is a vector drawing or a text object, you can clip the flag to the text or use the text as a mask on the flag below. Here is a short video about vector clipping and creating vector masks:

Hope that helps …  :)
