gitarrenpabst
Hello all, can someone please explain what are the differences between Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer in terms of functionalities? Does Photo has drawing tools integrated? Thanks, Kai
Staff Chris B Posted January 19, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2017 Hey Kai, welcome to the Affinity Forums. In summary, Photo is primarily for editing images and has a large number of photo processing abilities. It also has some basic drawing tools. Designer is for vector/raster illustration with some basic photo editing capabilities. If you do a quick search on Google for 'Affinity Photo vs Designer' you will find a number of results that go into a lot of details. If you have any specific questions about features etc. please feel free to ask :) Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
VIPStephan
Affinity Photo is a RAW converter and photo retouching tool and Affinity Designer is a vector graphics tool. They can be roughly compared to Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator. Both have drawing tools integrated but if you’re into drawing freely rather than retouching photos/images I suggest you go with Affinity Designer.
