PSB format cannot be open

Recommended Posts

Hi.

My client works with large Photoshop files - PSB format. I tried to open it in Affinity Designer as well as in Photo but I received the error messages in both applications:

The file could not be parsed.
Unknown signature : 4 [5]

Is there any chance to fix this bug? Or this format is just not supported (and won't be)?

Thanks

Hi Milos,

Affinity Designer/Photo does support PSB files. Any change you can provide a link to the file hosted on a cloud or file sharing service. You can PM me the link if you don't want to post it publicly here in the forums.

Thanks MEB, the message with link to my Dropbox folder has sent to you ;)

Just small update: I can open PSB files now! Thanks a lot.  ;)

The main target for the future is to be able update it, export as PSB / PSD and send to my client. I know that there is an issue with non-editable text layers which is quite essential in comic book lettering. Anyway thanks again for you support guys ;)

Btw... our project is on Kickstarter now ;)

I still can't open any of the 3 PSB files. I posted the links with the PSB files earlier today, but I'm not sure if my post was approved and posted here. Please let me know. I always receive PSB files from clients, so without the PSB support, there is not much that I can do with this good-looking software.
