Petar Petrenko
Hi, Just to report I've noticed that you changed the names of the titles in "Affinity Beta Support" I suggested. Thank you. Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 14, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 14, 2017 You're welcome. We will see about some other changes, but really we would like to also have better forums before too long, so that may be a good time to reorganise. I have tried out improved prefix tagging (first tag being a prefix and searchable). Unfortunately it is for all forums, not selected ones, and would take 200-300 hours just to do all the posts in this forum consistently... The forum software uses the first tag as the prefix, but Tagging doesn't even allow a new tag to be inserted in the list, so all existing tags need removing, then the prefix tag adding (Designer/Photo/Publisher/Multi/???) before the other tags are put back. That's a lot of work for all old threads, but we could just do it going forward. You can see the prefix tagging in the pinned threads. Petar Petrenko
Is it possible to add a combo box to allow the users to select between offered choices (AD, APh, APu...) instead of tags? No, This forum software isn't that sophisticated or I would have done that. Petar Petrenko
And changing the forum software is a nightmare, as I suppose, same as changing the software for app development. Alfred
We will see about some other changes, but really we would like to also have better forums before too long, so that may be a good time to reorganise. While you're making changes, Patrick, would it be possible for you to tweak the CSS for the search box? At the moment there's too little contrast between the light grey text and the slightly lighter grey background. And how about adding a nice Affinity favicon to replace the bog-standard IP.Board one that we currently see here?
