How to split shapes in Designer that were imported from EPS

Recommended Posts

Just what I was looking for! Thanks.

You're very welcome! Thanks for the feedback. :)

If I can impose with a related question, how do you split a section off a complex shape? In the attached image, I want to delete the blue section from the red shape.

With the Node Tool active, select a node at either end of the line that you want to split off, and then click on the 'Break Curve' icon on the Context toolbar. Now select the node at the other end and 'Break Curve' again. To delete the newly isolated line, simply select it with the Move Tool and press the 'Delete' key on your keyboard.

Yes, I'm also looking forward to seeing a knife tool. It's on the roadmap for AD 1.x, so it should be coming in a free update at some point.

Thanks again for the feedback. :)
