Multi page approach in Designer to produce pdf

Recommended Posts

I cannot find any info about any form of multipage feature, and seems in the roadmap. Is there any alternative approach currently available in Designer to perhaps use multiple same-size artboards that can be exported into a multipage pdf or anything else that fits the purpose?

You can use artboards as you suspected. They don't have to be the same size - PDF doesn't require that. They will be exported to the PDF in the order they are created, which is bottom-to-top in the Layers panel.

Eventually we will have another product, Affinity Publisher, which will be aimed at multi-page documents. Then Designer will at least be able to open Publisher's multi-page files, and will get some facility for working with them, but we can't really say exactly what yet. Or, for that matter, how much of Designer's facility for drawing illustrations will be in Publisher.

Something occurred to me. Since all Affinity applications are compatible to one another, how will opening files with pages from Designer or Publisher into Photo work? I assume it would open the current page the user was on?

The website is still a work in progress. The "Comics" and "Shop" sections are not yet ready. Feel free to connect with me and let me know what you like or what can be improved. You can contact me here, on my contact page, YouTube channel, or Twitter account. Thanks and have a great day!
