Not to have a 32-bit version for Windows is poor, but I can somehow understand it.

What is scandalous, is that it is nowhere written that the Windows version is for 64-bit only! I just discovered it when trying to install it on my 32-bit PC. Naturally after purchasing a software which I cannot use...

Pathetic!

P.S. I thought creating a 32-bit version was just like enabling another setting when compiling source files, wrong?

Czill,

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums

There is one main page and one details page on our website for each application Designer and Photo. At the bottom of each main page is a hyperlink (to the details pages) called "View System Requirements" leading here for designer

https://affinity.serif.com/designer/full-feature-list/#system-requirements

and here for photo.

https://affinity.serif.com/photo/full-feature-list/#system-requirements.

Each system requirements section states the 64-bit requirement.

Clearly you didn't see these, sorry. There will be no problem getting a refund if you send your order number and email address to affinityreturns@serif.com

The software could be built for 32-bit target, but that doesn't mean it will work correctly. Our software is capable of loading multiple very large images, and it can require gigabytes of memory, which is not easy to manage in 32-bit software. There are other technical reasons also, but memory management is one of the biggest.
