It's save a lot of time and memory rather than exporting to a huge PNG and cropping in another program. I'm attempting to create a map for a fictional world, and I'd like to print and export a specific detail of a map instead of export or print out the map in its entirety. But you can create a slice that cover the area you are interested in and export it as PNG using the Export Persona. Take a look at this video for more details on doing this.
