joconnell
Hi Folks! Would it be possible to get a divide blending mode? It gets used a tonne in vfx compositing where we want to separate different parts of an image so we can tweak things individually! Thanks! Sullyman
Will we being seeing this in a future update, the Linear Burn or Divide blend modes? Pretty critical for certain processes. sevensevens
I'd also like to see the divide blend mode added. It's very useful for flat-field correction.

John Rostron
Not sure what the algorithm for divide mode would be. Would i be feasible to implement this via Apply Image? John Rostron
You can actually implement the equivalent of divide using Filters > Apply Image. Just tick the Equations box and enter the equations: DR=DR/SR DG=DG/SG DB=DB/SG Or you could reverse the two if you wanted: DR=SR/DR DG=SG/DG DB=SB/DB However, I can see no easy way to automate this as a macro. Steps
Too bad this is missing. Frozen Death Knight
It is going to get added in 1.9 according to the devs, so we just have to wait for the Beta. Pasta21 and IPv6
