The 4th generation Core i3 machine that I'm using now has similar performance to the 1st generation Core i5 machine that I was using previously. Edit: From the site that you linked to, it looks as though the Intel Core i5 system offers better overall performance than the AMD A10 system. Here is the comparison page.
