I cound not find any settings in the UI preference ... and this white BG colour is pure torture ...Thx i7-12700KF, 3.60 GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet, Windows 11 Pro - AP, AD and APublisher V1 and V2https://www.timobierbaum.com
Chris_K
Hi DarkClown There is currently no option to select a different document background colour other than white, or transparent checker-board if you have the transparent background option ticked. DarkClown
Hi Chris, the Problem was Beta related. The old beta (.47) had open windows. The new Beta (.51) did open these windows again but they came up with a white doc-background. Opening new documents does not show this behaviour. So closing all old documents and opening them again solved the problem ... i7-12700KF, 3.60 GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet, Windows 11 Pro - AP, AD and APublisher V1 and V2https://www.timobierbaum.com
Rincewind
Hi,I'm also quite irritated by the change. It's not the document background, it's the "desk" around the image which changed obviously in the last beta (51, had 47 before)... And it's persistent, also when opening i.e. a JPEG from disk. Is there a way to get the old darker color back? Thanks and best regards, Henning Edit: For a white document you can't even see any longer where it ends  Edit 2: A full reset (starting with Ctrl key) solved the issue! :)
Mark Ingram
This isn't intentional! It's probably a problem loading the settings which control the background colour (try changing it in Preferences to see if that works). Can you upload your Settings folder from %APPDATA% before making any changes so we can reproduce it?
Keith Reeder
Just FYI, this isn't happening in 51 here; guys - files open on a dark grey background as expected. Keith Reeder
Mark Ingram
Yes, it'll be a failure to read in the setting controlling the background colour, so it will only affect some people.
Rincewind
Hi Mark, sadly I didn't backup the settings before the mentioned (problem solving) reset. Now all files I find in the directory have the same (recent) creation date. Guess that way they're not of much use anymore...? If it helps, I was jumping from version 47 to 51.
