Jimolin
How do you create a layer from a selection .Photoshop allowed you to do this simply by using the command "New Layer Via Copy" . So far I've been unable to find a similar command in Affinity. Cheers Jim
Staff MEB Posted January 6, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 6, 2017 Hi Jim Welcome to Affinity Forums :) With the selection active just copy and paste. Affinity will create a new layer from the selection. Make sure you are working with a pixel layer type (check the label in parenthesis after the layer's name in the Layers panel), otherwise all the layer will be pasted rather than just the selection. To convert an (Image) layer type to a (Pixel) layer type, right click the layer in the layer's panel and select Rasterise....
