Both Affinity apps support exporting to bitmap (raster image) formats like JPEG, PNG, or GIF. If you mean the 1 bit per pixel, mono-color format rarely used anymore, then no, it does not offer that option.

You can export to 1-bit using gif or png format. There is just no 1-bit colour space available so you cannot really edit 1-bit images. You though can edit greyscale or RGB to appear 1-bit and export to 1-bit gif or png, which may be good enough. 1-bit tif export is not available :-/

1-bit format has its uses as lineart is some cases preferred look or technical must so it is not so rare.

I stand corrected. As Fixx said, you can export to a 1 bit (two color palette) GIF or PNG file.

r91085,

Affinity Photo doesn't export to Windows Bitmap format. It is a historical format designed for small (flat) graphics files that is poor at compressing photos. I suggest that you export from Affinity Photo to png and use another app to convert to BMP if you really need that file format.

Oh~ thanks~

I am a programmer , and sometimes my work is about image analysis.

Windows Bitmap format's file size let me know the picture's memory usage in realtime analysis easily , and doesn't need to decompress when loading it.

I don't care file size , so in some case I use Windows Bitmap format .

But it is not a big deal , I still  can use Photoplus x8  :D
